Applaud has been using Google’s Material Design to create consumer-grade user interfaces for years. Now we’re excited to say we’ve updated to Google’s Material Design 2.0.
Here's why
Moving away from flat design to bring our online experiences to life, Material Design 2.0 is a refined set of principles and guidelines, enabling designers to achieve beautifully crafted, visually exciting user interfaces to benefit users of all devices and browsers.
Developed to make technology more usable and responsive, Material Design can span screen sizes from mobile to TV screens, and with devices getting bigger, you can look forward to mobile bottom navigation to make it easier for single-handed use.
In addition to offering the user a bold, intuitive user experience, the upgrade to Material Design 2.0 ensures full accessibility, Section 508 support, and additional Right-to-left (RTL) support.
Key feature highlights
The improvements are lots of subtle tweaks, and you likely won't notice any difference, which means we've done our job well. The overall effect is it's the same app that just somehow feels even better.
