Applaud was founded in 2008 by Ivan Harding and Duncan Casemore, driven by a mission to create HR technology that focused completely on the employee. Both Ivan and Duncan began their decades of HR software experience as part of Oracle’s HR development team, giving them an in-depth, unique understanding of integrating enterprise HR technology.

Ivan Harding is the Chief Executive Officer at Applaud. He is also a member of the company's board of directors. Ivan has worked in the HR Technology sector for over 20 years, starting life in IBM before moving onto the Oracle Development team, where he reached Director level. Prior to co-founding Applaud in 2008, Ivan worked with a number of large, global companies, helping them get the most out of their HR Technology investment. Ivan holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Southampton, UK
Duncan co-founded Applaud and has served as our Chief Technology Officer and as a member of our board of directors since February 2010. Prior to founding Applaud, Duncan spent 10 years advising organizations on enterprise HR technology deployment, and before that worked in Oracle's own HR Development team building out their core HCM products. Duncan holds a BSc degree in Computing and Business.
Hari is the Chief Operating Officer at Applaud. He is a member of the company's board of directors and heads up Applaud's operations in India, overseeing development work, support and customer projects. Hari started his career with Oracle, reaching the position of Development Manager culminating in a role working with Oracle's new cloud applications. Hari holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and is a PMI certified PMP Professional.

This success meant that when Advantage Solutions acquired Daymon in 2018, they replaced Daymon’s Workday solution with Applaud and Oracle HCM - a decision that benefitted over 95,000 employees.
Seamless HR Experience
MEWA migrated 120 HR Services into their new Applaud environment, including absence and leave booking, overtime logging and approvals and also business travel. Critically, when COVID-19 hit MEWA were well-positioned to communicate efficiently and quickly with their entire workforce.
Modernizing Self-Service and Mobile Apps
MEWA were able to shut down Oracle self-services with new and improved versions on their Applaud platform. With 100% adoption on their desktop platform, mobile apps are now being phased in.

Oracle E-Business Suite had been a long-standing core HR system used throughout Allseas, but with a need for increased functionality and faster innovation, Allseas were seeking a more agile solution.

Slow, confusing and manual processes
India's largest listed retail stock broker lacked the necessary digital tools and expertise to stay competitive in the market. The existing technology stack, comprised of five separate systems, wasn't scalable for future growth. HR was also burdened with repetitive, transactional tasks, limiting their capacity for strategic initiatives.
Offering a best-in-class onboarding experience
Leveraging Applaud's creator platform, ten processes (including background checks, IT asset allocation, E-sign) associated with onboarding were rebuilt and automated using the powerful workflow engine.
80% reduction in onboarding enquiries
After launching the project, AngelOne saw 80% reduction on onboarding enquiries and a 9.1 onboarding score.
